NOURISHING COMMUNITIES

NURTURING EARTH

Dirt Girls builds regenerative waste systems that turn green waste into fertile soil and forgotten processes into shared knowledge. Through composting, media, and community partnerships, we expose broken waste infrastructures and cultivate a more intimate, accountable relationship with land.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

WE ARE DIRT GIRLS

( NICE TO MEET YOU )

Dirt Girls is led by Kieanna Jolaei and Sarah McDaniel. We are devoted to uplifting our community by providing essential resources and support to those who need it most. This includes partnering with local farms to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and assistance necessary to cultivate regenerative and healthy crops. Knowledge is power, and we are passionate about education. We educate our community about mindful farming practices, healthy eating habits, and the importance of supporting local agriculture. By fostering awareness, we empower individuals to make informed decisions that benefit their health and the environment.

THREE PILLARS

THE D.G. MISSION

( OUR PURPOSE )

The planet needs our help now more than ever. Together, can create a healthier, more resilient and greener future - one compost pile at a time. Here’s the benefits:

01.

Regenerative Infrastructure

Dirt Girls designs and operates hyper-local, closed-loop composting systems that return organic waste back to the soil it came from. By working with farms, gardens, businesses, and municipalities, we transform green waste into nutrient-rich compost while reducing landfill dependence and methane emissions. Our infrastructure prioritizes transparency, soil health, and accountability—treating compost not as an afterthought, but as essential civic care.

Storytelling as Systems Change

02.

Lasting regeneration requires participation. Dirt Girls builds hands-on educational programs, events, and partnerships that invite people back into relationship with land, soil, and cycles of decay. From farms and schools to prisons and public spaces, we create pathways for communities to actively steward waste, learn ecological literacy, and reclaim agency within broken environmental systems.

Community Stewardship & Education

03.

Waste is not just a logistical failure, but a cultural one. Dirt Girls uses film, design, and media to reveal the invisible systems behind what we throw away—connecting decomposition to ecology, grief, labor, and renewal. Through documentaries, visual storytelling, and public education, we make complex waste systems legible, emotional, and impossible to ignore.

FARM TO TABLE, OFTEN BOTANICAL

“The kitchen is the most accessible way to understand the energetics of food and what feels good in your body. We all have to eat, so it’s the most exciting way to explore herbalism and the art of foods
